BEN HOOTEN

I have always believed that serving the community, family, clients, and people of District 6 (mostly Lakeside ISD) is paramount.

 

That's why I joined the US Army in 1970 and reenlisted in 1996 to become a part of the 101st Airborne Division Special Operations force. My service in Operation IRAQI FREEDOM in 2003 taught me the value of courage and dedication.

 

In 2001, I graduated from the UALR, with a BA in Law and Political Science and a JD (Jurisprudence) from William H Bowen School of Law. Since then, I started my private law practice in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 2002, specializing in Criminal Law and Veterans Benefits. My expertise in these areas has allowed me to serve my clients better and make a positive impact on their lives.

 

I hope to continue serving the community, family, clients, and people of District 6 with the same passion and dedication I have shown throughout my life.

"My aim as the representative of the residents of District 6 in Garland County is to raise relevant questions to the County Quorum Court on each issue that comes before them. I will ensure that we are fiscally responsible, adopt a conservative approach, and carefully evaluate all the facts to help enhance our community. I will scrutinize the utilization of our tax dollars and guarantee that they are spent judiciously. I will hold our officials accountable for their decisions."
